Job Description

As a Senior Nurse (RMN or RNLD) or existing Deputy Manager with a wealth of experience in Learning Disability & Autism, this is your chance to join our team at Tottle Brooke House in Strelley to build the team around you, help to shape the culture and positively impact how the service is run.



You will support the Registered Manager in leading the service, with responsibility for managing clinical and non-clinical teams and being the Clinical Lead for Quality and Compliance.



As a Deputy Manager, you will have previous experience of project management as you will manage Clinical and Operational functions of the hospital. You will also deputise for the Registered Manager, where you will attend internal and external meetings with key stake holders.


As Deputy Manager you'll play a key role in ensuring the success of the service. Reporting to the Registered Manager, you will support the development and provision of a high quality and bespoke pathway of care for the service users.

To be Successful as a Deputy Manager you will need:

A relevant Clinical qualification and professional registration as RNMH or RNLD. Multiple years Senior management experience in a Mental Health/LD setting Be able to evidence management/leadership training and a willingness to complete our internal leadership training. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience managing Clinical and Operational teams and creating a positive working environment. Ability to deal with multiple issues simultaneously in a highly dynamic environment. Awareness of the wider Healthcare economy and political environment A detailed understanding of statutory regulations Ability to oversee and deliver site projects. Experience in a mental health setting Knowledge and understanding of regulatory processes and the CQC. Up-to-date knowledge of legislation related to the patient group. Audit and Compliance experience within a clinical setting.

Tottle Brook House consists of five bespoke, single-person apartments within a registered care setting with 24 hour nursing support. It provides a robust environment and high intensity care model which is designed to support people who have a Learning Disability & Autism with highly complex needs and behaviours that challenge, enabling them to live meaningful lives as active members of the community.



This includes service users who may be stepping down from hospital or whose community placements have broken down.



The aim of the service is to support people to move back to their home area and be closer to their families.
