We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to support the daily operations of our nursery setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education and childcare. The Deputy Manager will be responsible for assisting in the organisation of activities, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Assist the Manager in overseeing daily centre operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
Support staff in delivering high standards of childcare and early childhood education programmes.
Supervise and motivate team members, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and licensing requirements.
Engage with children to promote their development through educational activities and play.
Maintain effective communication with parents, carers, and external agencies as required.
Organise staff rotas, monitor attendance, and support professional development initiatives.
Drive centre initiatives forward by implementing policies and procedures aligned with organisational goals.
Assist in managing administrative tasks such as record keeping, reporting, and budgeting.
Requirements
Proven management experience within a childcare or nursery setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team of early childhood professionals.
Experience working with children, ideally within nursery or early years education environments.
Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Passionate about providing quality childcare that supports children's growth and well-being.
