Responsible to: Pre-school Manager
Responsible for: Supervision of children during sessions.
Purpose of the job: To work as a key person and as part of the pre-school team under the direction of the manager. To provide safe, high quality education and care for young children which meets the individual needs of children attending the setting.

Sunshine Preschool, has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Nursery Manager to work within a fantastic preschool in the centre of a small Village, Puriton (Bridgwater). The successful applicants will assist in providing high quality care, an exciting environment where the children want to learn, and supervision of and support to the team members within the nursery. There will also be opportunities for professional development.

The role is ideally suited to applicants who have a Level 3 or above in a relevant Early Years qualification. They will need to have had previous experience in a senior role and have a genuine enthusiasm and drive for working to ensure the best outcomes for the children in their care.

All applicants should have a strong desire to work with, and care for children. They should be kind, enthusiastic, patient and able to work in harmony with other like-minded people to provide children with the best possible learning opportunities, within a safe, stimulating and happy environment.

Sunshine Preschool provides high quality care and education for 23 children aged 2-4, open term time only from 8.30am to 3.00/3.30pm Monday to Friday.

Are able to assist with nursery administration and finance.
