We are looking for a warm, caring and enthusiastic early years teacher/practitioner to join our lovely preschool in Teddington as a Deputy Manager. The post is for 5 sessions (8am - 12.45pm) a week*, plus the equivalent of 1 extra session working from home, term time only. The successful candidate will be qualified to Level 3 or above or have EYTS/QTS.
Our not-for-profit preschool is a happy, friendly and welcoming setting which has been serving our wonderful local families for over 50 years. You will become part of an amazing and committed team working with children aged 2 to 4 years old and their families.
You will be:
Passionate about early years education
Able to work closely and cooperatively with the Manager and the staff team
Able to work independently and show initiative
An excellent communicator with a very good standard of written and spoken English
Able to build strong and caring relationships with young children and their families
Creative and innovative in providing inspiring and engaging learning opportunities for the children
Have experience of working in early years or a similar educational setting
Have a desire to support the setting in it's high standards of safety and safeguarding
Your role will include:
Supporting the Manager with the day to day running of the setting
Working as part of a team to provide a happy, nurturing and stimulating environment for our children
Undertaking a key person role with a group of specific children
Participating in staff meetings, management meetings, parents evenings and training
Supporting the setting in its high standards of safety and safeguarding and ensuring the well-being of the children

Salary depends on qualifications and experience and is paid 44 weeks of the year (38 weeks term time + 6 weeks holiday)
