Frindsbury House is a Charity-run Residential Care Home supporting 23 individuals with physical disabilities and neurological conditions with a focus on Huntington's Disease.

Frindsbury House is part of the Mortimer Society, a charity that has been at the forefront of providing exceptional care and support to our residents for over thirty years. We have a strong ethos of compassion combined with professionalism and are dedicated to making a difference to the lives of people we care for.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our invaluable, management team to undertake the role of Deputy Manager.

Job Objectives & Responsibilities:



To provide support to the Home Manager to manage all aspects in the day to day operation of the care home. The Deputy Manager in the absence of the Home Manager will be the person responsible for the efficient and proper management of the Home.

To supervise, monitor and evaluate the care delivered to residents ensuring legal requirements are met together with ensuring that the high levels expected within the Mortimer Society are met.

Exercising leadership by sound organisation, good communication and relationships.

To ensure the Home maintains a high standard of care and individual person centred support for all our residents.

To promote a caring environment which provides residents with a high standard of specialised personal care, meeting individual needs and ensuring everyone is treated with dignity and respect to privacy, independence and choice are met.

To have responsibility for the implementation of the Society's Policies and Procedures in the respect of the delivery of residential care services for adults.

To cover the on-call responsibilities on a rota'd basis, as well as fulfil spot checks over weekends and night shifts.

To be successful in this role you will:



Have a minimum of level 3 Diploma for Health and Social Care or equivalent.

Have knowledge, experiences and skills to oversee the delivery of care that meets and exceeds the regulatory standards.

Have proven relevant experience in a similar supervisory or management experience in a care home environment.

Have strong people and communication skills.

Be able to demonstrate exemplary service in previous employment within the Health and Social Care Sector

The role would require a 40 hour working week for the successful candidate, with flexibility required due to the nature of the role, and the teams you would be responsible for.
