We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in a care environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisted living and nursing home settings, demonstrating exceptional leadership and management skills. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents, particularly those requiring dementia and Alzheimer's care. The Deputy Manager will support the overall operations of the care home, working closely with staff to implement effective care plans and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Duties



Assist in managing daily operations of the care home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents. Supervise and lead a team of caregivers, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance. Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to meet the needs of residents. Ensure that medication administration is conducted safely and in accordance with best practices. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for residents. Conduct regular assessments of resident needs, adjusting care plans as necessary. Foster a positive atmosphere that promotes resident dignity, independence, and well-being. Participate in staff training and development initiatives to enhance team capabilities.

Skills



Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments is essential. Strong background in senior care, including dementia and Alzheimer's care. Excellent management skills with a focus on leadership and supervising experience. Knowledge of medication administration protocols and best practices. Ability to develop effective care plans based on individual resident needs. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Compassionate approach towards elderly care, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
