Polkemmet Daycare are looking to recruit a DEPUTY MANAGER

They will be forward thinking, knowledgeable, innovative, enthusiastic and reliable.

They will provide professional leadership and management of our setting within Polkemmet Country Park.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an exciting nursery, set in a natural environment.

You will have:

A passion for outdoor learning, preferably have a Forest Kindergarten qualification and experience.

Excellent working knowledge of Realising the Ambition, Curriculum for Excellence and other relevant frameworks and curriculum.

Hold a relevant qualification in BA Childhood Practice, or be willing to work towards this, which we will support you to do.

Job Type: Full-time or Part time

Hours and salary negotiable

This is a floor-based position, meaning the chosen candidate will be working on the playroom floor alongside children in all age groups where required. The chosen candidate will also have 1 day per week which is office based to allow for time to work with the manager documenting evidence of your work and planning for future improvement, staff meetings, CPD opportunities etc. The chosen candidate will be confident in supporting a small staff team to provide positive outcomes for children. This will involve a continuous desire for improvement, which includes performing environmental audits, developing play spaces, supporting smooth transitions, learning opportunities and relationships with our families.
