Empower Young People. Lead with Heart.
At The Lily Housing Project, we're reshaping the way young people experience care and independence. Our person-centred, relationship-based approach provides a safe, supportive stepping stone for those aged 16+ navigating the transition into adulthood. Now, we're seeking a passionate, capable Deputy Manager to help lead our mission and guide our teams across our Dorset services.
If you're ready to lead with purpose and inspire progress in others--both staff and young people--this could be the role for you.
Your Role as Deputy Manager
As a key member of our leadership team, you'll play a vital role in day-to-day operations and the ongoing development of staff and service quality across Weymouth, Dorchester, and Ferndown. Ensure the delivery of safe, nurturing, and empowering support for young people
Oversee compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and internal policies
Coordinate rotas, supervisions, appraisals, and staff training
Maintain strong relationships with families, external professionals, and partner agencies
Step into the Manager's role when needed, ensuring smooth and consistent service
Contribute to a culture of trust, stability, and progress for every young person we support
What We're Looking For
You'll be a strong candidate if you:
Have experience in a leadership role in supported housing, semi-independent living, or residential childcare
Hold (or are working toward) a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Are a compassionate, clear communicator who leads by example
Can confidently manage teams, rotas, and compliance tasks
Are a driver with a full UK licence
Bring a trauma-informed, safeguarding-first approach to your work
Are emotionally resilient, flexible, and ready to support young people with complex needs
Why Join The Lily Housing Project?
We value and invest in our people just as much as we do the young people we support. When you join our team, you become part of a culture that prioritises development, recognition, and wellbeing.
Our benefits include:
Paid day off for your birthday (after probation)
28 days' holiday (including bank holidays), rising to 32 with service
