Job Type:

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Permanent

Salary:

32,110 - 34,060 per annum (including average sleep-in payment)

Sleep-in rate:

55 per night (average 1 per week)

Salary dependent on qualifications and experience

Now, we're seeking a passionate, capable Deputy Manager to help lead our mission and guide our teams across our Dorset services.

Your Role as Deputy Manager

As a key member of our leadership team, you'll play a vital role in day-to-day operations and the ongoing development of staff and service quality across Weymouth, Dorchester, and Ferndown. Working closely with the Registered Service Manager, you'll balance hands-on support with strategic oversight.

You will:



Lead, support, and motivate a team of support workers across multiple sites Ensure the delivery of safe, nurturing, and empowering support for young people Oversee compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and internal policies Coordinate rotas, supervisions, appraisals, and staff training Maintain strong relationships with families, external professionals, and partner agencies Step into the Manager's role when needed, ensuring smooth and consistent service Contribute to a culture of trust, stability, and progress for every young person we support
What We're Looking For

You'll be a strong candidate if you:



Have experience in a leadership role in supported housing, semi-independent living, or residential childcare Hold (or are working toward) a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) Are a compassionate, clear communicator who leads by example Can confidently manage teams, rotas, and compliance tasks Are a driver with a full UK licence Bring a trauma-informed, safeguarding-first approach to your work Are emotionally resilient, flexible, and ready to support young people with complex needs
