Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Early Years Practitioner to work in the role of Deputy Manager/SENCO in our newest setting. The ideal candidate will work in partnership with the Nursery Manager to implement the nursery curriculum and deputise in their absence. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience and previous experience of working with children aged birth - 5 years in a SENCO role. You will be committed to providing excellent standards or care, education and customer service. You must be a hands on and dynamic individual who is happy to still spend time with the children on occasion to support your team.

Strong leadership skills are essential and previous experience of running a team is an advantage.

Duties

Deputy Role

Manage the day to day running of the Nursery alongside the Nursery Manager.

Support in managing a small team to achieve excellent results.

Assist in creating and maintaining a safe, stimulating and secure environment for the children.

Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are followed.

Contribute to and implement the nursery policies.

Ensure all legal and statutory obligations are met.

Support and develop excellent parent partnerships.

Set an exemplary example to your team.

SENCO

To provide and seek further assistance for children within the setting who may need additional support.

To write, implement and review IEP's and any complete all further paperwork as required.

To liaise with external agencies, parents and colleagues to support the children's development.

Qualifications

Minimum of Level 3 in Early Years

Hours of Work

40 hours between the hours of 7.30am and 6pm Monday - Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 28,000.00 per year
