Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. This role is pivotal in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid background in early childhood education, ensuring that all staff members are effectively managed while fostering positive relationships with children and their families.

Duties

Manage the overall operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Supervise and support nursery staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their professional development. Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote children's learning and development. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, addressing any concerns or feedback regarding their children's progress. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment for children to play and learn. Drive initiatives to improve the quality of care and education provided within the nursery. Monitor children's progress through regular assessments and observations, adapting programmes as necessary.

Skills

Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. Strong leadership abilities to manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with staff, parents, and children. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Ability to create a nurturing atmosphere that supports children's emotional and social development. Proficient in managing daily operations within a nursery environment. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting materials or attending off-site activities.
