We are looking for a deputy manager to work at our small independent pre-school. The correct person would need to have level 3 or above qualifications as well as experience management within a nursery/ pre-school. We are term time only, and pack away for part of the week, with amazing grounds, which we use daily. We are a registered charity.
Part-time
Tuesday- 8.15-3.15
Wed- 8.15- 3.15
Thursday- 8.15- 4 (including a staff meeting)
Friday 8.15- 3.15
The role would include working with the children most of the week, with
allocated time for the deputy manager role.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated deputy manager to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children in our care. As a deputy manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the early experiences of children, fostering their curiosity and love for learning.
We are looking for someone who would:
Be able to lead and support staff.
Always models best practice whilst working with the children.
Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and maintain the highest standards of Health and Safety and well-being for all children.
Implement engaging and age-appropriate curricula in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Ideally have Designated Safeguarding Lead training, or be prepared to train to take on this role.
Be responsible for robust safeguarding practices, ensuring policies are adhered to at all times.
Have a good understanding of SEND and be able to support children and their families as well as staff. Have the knowledge of how to access support for those families and children.
Have excellent communication skills and be able to build good relationships with staff, families and professionals.
Occasionally plan meetings and training sessions for staff.
Be organised and efficient, with an eye for detail.
Be able to complete tasks such as updating policies, writing newsletter etc
A working knowledge of basic technology is important.

The pre-school takes safeguarding very seriously and thorough background checks will be made. The successful candidate will be required to provide references, complete a DBS through the Pre-School, and sign up to the update service.
