Weekend Deputy Team Manager
to join our team and help make a difference today!
About the Role:
As a Weekend Deputy Team Manager, you'll play a vital role in leading our hospital discharge service during the weekend period, working
Tuesday to Saturday (36 hours)
.
You'll:
Provide day-to-day operational leadership across the team, including oversight of triage, case allocation, and assessment approvals.
Offer expert advice on complex discharges, safeguarding concerns, and mental capacity assessments.
Act as the lead manager for weekend discharges from Kings and St Thomas Hospitals.
Manage step-down placements into extra care schemes, ensuring efficient referral and placement processes.
Supervise and support social workers and assistant practitioners, promoting reflective practice and continuous professional development.
This is a key leadership post where your decisions and support will directly impact timely and safe discharges for Southwark residents.
About You:
We're looking for a confident, experienced social care professional with the following:
Qualified Social Worker status
and registration with Social Work England.
Strong working knowledge of the
Care Act
,
Mental Capacity Act
, and
Continuing Healthcare
.
Experience leading
multi-disciplinary meetings
,
safeguarding cases
, and
professional supervision
.
