The Role:



The role is to support the Venue Manager and with the day-to-day operations of Crewe Market Hall, ensuring everything runs smoothly, working closely with them to programme evening entertainment and promotion of the venue using social media. We will expect you to take and feel ownership of the site when you are working, assuming the responsibilities of the Venue Manager in their absence, leading the team on-site, ensuring health and safety practices are followed, and making sure the customers have the best experience possible.

This role will suit a proactive individual keen to take on new challenges. You will be confident using social media and able to work evenings and weekends as required, on a rota basis.

Key Duties:



Assume the manager's responsibilities in their absence Support with all day-to-day operations at Crewe Market Hall. Support and lead our team when on duty, and work with third-party suppliers such as security and maintenance services to deliver fantastic customer experience levels. Creating effective schedules and quickly resolving conflicts to ensure that the venue is well staffed during peak hours. Be a point of contact for vendors at Crewe Market Hall. Working with the Venue Manager and senior team to assist with planning, organising and delivering a programme of events throughout the year. Working with the Venue Manager to deliver weekly entertainment and events. Help promote and attract customers to Crewe Market Hall. Develop and grow relationships with the street food businesses within the venue, aiding in their development and growth and sustaining clear and effective communication channels. To act as a keyholder, ensure the safe opening and closing of the building, and be on-call as required. Ensure health and safety policies were followed and that food hygiene standards were being met.

About You:



We work with some of the best street food traders, and a passion for good food, and promoting good food is a must.

We also work regularly with a wide range of small businesses, with varying levels of social media and marketing skills. Experience dealing with small business owners would be a benefit.

A love of food, entertainment and independent businesses is at our core, so we'd love for you to share in those passions, in addition to being well-organised, driven and customer-focused.

The ideal candidate would:

Have experience in managing a team. Be customer service focused and passionate about delivering a high-quality customer experience. Have the ability to communicate effectively. Have experience in hospitality and leisure, ideally in a management role. Be confident with social media, taking photos and communicating with customers. Be willing to apply yourself to a range of operational and management challenges Be flexible and able to work on evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required. Be passionate about food retail and catering and dedicated to supporting small businesses to deliver the highest quality offering. Be able to work to targets to deliver key objectives within set timescales. Have a positive attitude, with the ability to think outside the box to solve problems as they arise.
