Priory Hospital Cardiff is recruiting a Deputy Ward Manager to join our team.
Our Shift Pattern is:
07:45 - 19:30
Priory Hospital Cardiff is a modern mental health treatment unit. The unit includes a variety of facilities, such as three secure gardens, a gym, a hydrotherapy pool, patient practice kitchens, a patient social area, art rooms and dedicated support service areas. The service is currently being developed to provide bespoke treatment packages for a variety of patients with complex mental health needs. The unit will provide a modern, homely environment promoting independence, whilst employing an experienced multi-disciplinary team to oversee and support patient progress.
The role of a Charge Nurse is to provide senior nursing leadership to the nursing team in support of the Clinical Lead and Unit Manager.
The Successful candidate will:
Have clinical and leadership experience that provides the expertise and confidence required to support the wider nursing team.
Be able to respond flexibly to change and the developing needs of the service.
Be responsible for deputising in the absence of the ward manager if necessary and therefore must demonstrate a willingness to develop and expand on their existing roles and responsibilities.
Be role models for their peers and demonstrate core priory values at all times therefore the expectations of this will need to be clearly set out.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Abilities
Registered Nurse with active NMC PIN with 2 years post-qualifying experience.
Relevant clinical experience.
Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality.
Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
