We are seeking an experienced

3 Design & Build Delivery Group Lead

to support the configuration and implementation of the NerveCentre EPR system across United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust. You will lead the design and build of complex clinical and operational modules within a multi-disciplinary environment, ensuring high-quality patient-centred digital care pathways.

This is a key delivery role in a major digital transformation programme, requiring strong leadership in user-centred design, agile working, stakeholder engagement and service optimisation across acute care settings

This role demands a strong background in user-centred design (UCD), interaction design, and service design, translating user needs into service blueprints and scalable design solutions. You will also champion iterative design, agile delivery methods, and continuous development in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

There are 3 tranches; tranche 1 - Aug 2026 Go live (Foundation EPR and safety), tranche 2 - Feb 2027 Go live (Medical capability and administration), tranche 3 - June 2027 go live (enhanced clinical and PAS Last implementation) Note: starting all tranches now even though some are out in future.

This role will include in-depth analysis of current working practices, process mapping and policy analysis, and coordinating others to carry out this activity too - with the principles of User-Centred Design (UCD) in mind. The candidate will lead and support on design and build, including testing and go-live activities.

The postholder will provide support to the EPR team to implement the Trust's digital strategy through the lifecycle of the programme.

Skills



Experience in user-centred design (UCD), interaction design, and iterative service development. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in digital transformation and clinical service change. Strong working knowledge of agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban. Skilled in converting user needs into design specifications and blueprints. NHS acute trust experience (ideally with clinical pathway awareness). Experience in configuration and implementation of EPR modules (NerveCentre desirable). Excellent facilitation, problem-solving, and communication skills across clinical and technical audiences UX Design experience

Strong Ability



Translate user needs into service blueprints and digital design specifications. Lead digital transformation teams in high-pressure, delivery-focused environments. Engage with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders at all levels. Apply iterative design and deliver in continuous development environments

Desirable



Experience with NerveCentre EPR. Prior NHS Trust experience in data delivery or transformation roles

Duties



Apply UCD principles to translate user needs into service blueprints and EPR configuration specifications Manage agile delivery cycles using Scrum and Kanban, enabling iterative design and continuous development Lead a team of analysts, clinical SMEs and workstream leads through design, configuration, testing, and implementation of EPR modules. Drive user-centred design (UCD) principles across the build process - incorporating service design, interaction design, and user research. Translate user needs and workflows into future-state service blueprints and digital system specifications. Align configuration with Trust-wide standards and policy, ensuring safety, usability, and data integrity. Facilitate engagement workshops, clinical validations, workflow design and triage issue resolution. Oversee iterative development cycles using Agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodology to ensure responsive, continuous delivery. Ensure testing, SOPs and training documentation are aligned with live configurations. Liaise with suppliers (NerveCentre) and regional partners to embed best practices and feature enhancements.

Qualifications



Educated to degree level in a relevant subject, or relevant management knowledge acquired through training and experience, equivalent to Level 7. In depth specialist knowledge of IM&T procedures acquired through degree or equivalent level Project Management Training or equivalent experience Change Management qualification or relevant experience

Pay: 371.00-509.00 per day
