The Opportunity:
We are seeking a
Design Engineer
to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical engineering background who is passionate about product development, continuous improvement, and being hands-on throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop new slurry handling equipment and enhance existing products.
Produce and maintain 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks (or similar software).
Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective engineering solutions.
Participate in prototyping, testing, and design reviews, offering recommendations for improvement.
Support the documentation process, including CE/UKCA compliance.
Maintain comprehensive records of design changes, specifications, and processes.
Ensure adherence to Health & Safety standards in all design activities.
Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar CAD software).
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
