Monday-Thursday: 8:00-16:30 | Friday: Early finish at 15:30

Your Role

As a Design Engineer, you'll work on everything from minor machine tweaks to full-scale bespoke systems. You'll:

Develop and prove mechanical concepts using electrical and pneumatic components Liaise directly with customers from design to commissioning Create detailed manufacturing drawings (BS8888 compliant) Ensure designs meet industry regulations and customer expectations Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth production and delivery Occasionally travel to customer sites (overnight stays may be required)

What You'll Bring

Mechanical Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, Degree) Design engineering background, ideally spent with machinery or designing moving parts. Proficiency in 3D CAD (Solidworks, Inventor or Solidedge) Familiarity with Solidworks PDM Vault and ERP/MRP systems Hands-on approach to testing and problem-solving Experience in automated machinery design (food/pharma sectors a plus) Strong communication and multitasking skills Commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
