As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Design Engineer to support the building of Sizewell C. This is a monumental project that will see the creation of a 3.2-gigawatt power station, providing clean electricity for around 6 million homes for at least 60 years.
Why this role?
You'll be leading and managing Enabling & Earthworks project packages and teams, from concept and design to delivery.
Your work will be instrumental in ensuring plans and designs meet requirements and are code compliant.
You'll have the opportunity to suggest value engineering and risk reduction ideas, contributing to the success of the project.
As part of the CWA, you'll be working with top-tier designers like Atkins and COWI, ensuring high-quality, complete packages for our operational teams.
What you'll bring:
Competent technical knowledge and experience in design.
Proven ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary/organisation design teams.
Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
In-depth understanding of project scheduling, commercial arrangements, and budget control.
A clear understanding of design and engineering interfaces with construction teams, commissioning teams, supply chain, and third parties.
A depth of experience in large infrastructure projects. Professional accreditation and/or a sector-specific MSc degree would be advantageous.
