Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, analysing, and improving mechanical and system designs across various material handling projects. Responsibilities

Design conveyor systems and material handling equipment, including both full systems and one-off bespoke solutions. Produce detailed

2D AutoCAD

drawings and

3D SolidWorks

models. Create Bills of Materials and support procurement of materials and components. Liaise directly with customers to understand requirements and provide design updates. Manage complete projects, ensuring designs are accurate, manufacturable and delivered on time. Support fabrication work by producing clear, accurate drawings for the welding and assembly teams. Work closely with the small in-house team to ensure smooth project delivery and technical accuracy.

Qualifications

Proven experience or strong academic background in mechanical or systems engineering. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and familiarity with schematics design. Strong understanding of GD&T principles, system design processes, and mechanical concepts. Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively within complex systems. Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with attention to detail. Good communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
