Lawrence David is the UK's premium commercial trailer and rigid truck body manufacturer. The business was established in 1973 and has gone from strength to strength since then. We offer a complete end to end service from trailer and rigid body manufacturing, ancillary equipment repair and maintenance to the supply of trailer and tail lift parts.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks along with the update of existing components
- Create detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and functionality
- Conduct analysis and testing to validate design performance and reliability
- Develop and implement new system designs
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support production processes and resolve design-related issues
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in design engineering

Experience & Qualifications
- Qualified to A level or equivalent with a core Engineering subject
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or other 3D modelling software
- Familiarity with GD&T standards and practices
- Experience in system design, logic controllers, and automation systems
- Proficiency in simulation software is a plus
