An exciting opportunity to join the passionate team at Carraero. We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding 3D modeling processes and be proficient in Developing new complex parts on Fusion 360. Successful candidates will work closely with our engineering team to design and test components for both in-house automotive projects and ever-changing clientele contracts. Candidates will be Designing with Fusion 360, taking measurements from 3D scans or by hand where required, producing 3D printed prototypes and testing fitment. experience working in a development environment would be beneficial, and the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and manage time are crucial.

Responsibilities:

Develop and optimise 3D models for use in our own products and customer contract products

Interpret engineering drawings and CAD files to produce components accurately
Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the design progress

Optimise the design and development process to find efficiency gains where possible

Perform quality checks on finished products using appropriate measuring tools

Perform surface development with use of Alias

Produce renders for products, working alongside the marketing team

Maintain and build our website 3D configurator, including visual models on there and changes as required

Maintain a clean and organised work environment and keep tooling, job documents, and records up to date

Desired Skills:
Proficiency in Fusion 360 design suite
Some knowledge of the manufacturing industry is preferable
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Proficient in the use of measuring equipment and 3D scanning equipment although not required
Familiarity with various Design software such as Alias for surface finishing
Excellent problem-solving skills with key attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
