Design Engineer

We are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer with SolidWorks experience. Office based in West Yorkshire, working within our design team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing the full design process from ideation to production. You will draw new designs and update our current designs. During the creation process, you will ensure that our designs meeting all necessary design responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Draw, update, and maintain designs. Design of bespoke assembly / automation equipment. Ensure our designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer responsibilities. Ensure that all design projects are completed within budget and time. Purchasing of parts and materials. Liaising with customers and suppliers

Qualifications

Higher educational qualification in engineering (ideally mechanical) or equivalent experience CAD experience Proficient in SolidWorks Strong organizational and communication skills

Role

Developing and creating 3D models and assemblies in accordance with design specifications
Generate detailed engineering drawings.
Collaborating with subcontractors & customers through the manufacturing and build process
Using CAD software to support all areas of the company's operations
Working in collaboration with other departments to identify product design improvements using CAD
Updating and maintaining drawings.

Mechanical assembly work when required.

Skills

The ideal candidate will have experience in:

3D Modelling Architectural Drawings Autodesk Inventor CATIA Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Design for Manufacturing Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing Modelling and Simulation Product Design Sketching
40 hours per week (with some flexibility), overtime available. Pay negotiable dependant on experience.

25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 25,676.07-50,396.41 per year
