Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Design Manager & Estimator to join our dynamic team at Eco Green Group. This role is integral to our success, as it involves leading the design and estimation processes for our innovative roofing projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design, estimation, and project management, with a passion for sustainable building practices.

Key Responsibilities:



Design Development:

Lead the design process for living roofs, blue roofs, biosolar systems, and paving finishes.
Create detailed drawings, plans, and specifications to accompany project quotations.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and landscape designers to ensure designs align with project goals and client requirements.
Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in green roofing and sustainable construction.

Estimation:

Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment required for each project.
Analyse project specifications and drawings to identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.

Project Management:

Attend design meetings with clients, architects, and project stakeholders to discuss project requirements and objectives.
Collaborate with the project management team to ensure seamless project execution from design through to completion.
Provide technical support and expertise to the project team throughout the construction phase.

Client Interaction:

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by delivering exceptional service and value.
Present design concepts and cost estimates to clients in a clear and professional manner.
Address client questions, concerns, and requests promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in architecture, civil engineering, landscape architecture, or a related field. Proven experience in design management and estimation, preferably in green roofing or sustainable construction. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools. Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Knowledge of sustainable building practices and green roofing technologies. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
