Job Description

Thornden School are seeking a proactive and dedicated Food and Textiles Technology Technician to join our vibrant Technology department. This role is perfect for someone who is self-motivated, organised, and enjoys problem-solving. You'll play a key role in supporting our Design and Technology teachers by preparing and maintaining equipment, materials and ingredients, ensuring students have the best learning experience possible. Salary:

C1 24,405.00 - C5 25,430.00 (Actual 10,749.96 - 11,201.40)

Hours:

18.5 per week, working 6 hours per day for 2 days and 6.5 for 1 day. Flexibility in the working pattern will be considered for the right candidate.

About the role:



Organise and prepare equipment/ingredients for lessons and assessments Support teachers during practical lessons, demonstrating equipment when needed Maintain a safe, well-stocked, and efficient workspace for students and staff Assist with minor repairs and keep our workshops running smoothly Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure everything is in tip-top condition Help with mounting work to create eye-catching displays and exemplar materials Assist with Health and Safety procedures to keep everyone safe
