Important Details:



Contract:

Permanent, term-time plus 5 days

Salary:

Grade 3, Points 4-6, 25,185 - 25,989 (pro-rata actual 21,662.55 - 22,335.30)

Working Pattern:

35 hours a week

Pension:

Greater Manchester Pension Fund with employer contributions of 17.2%

Parrs Wood Road, Didsbury, M20 6BX

Duties of the Design & Technology Technician:



You will work in collaboration with the Design and Technology team to:

Prepare, setup and check equipment Support teaching staff and pupils during lessons Ensure a safe working environment Ensure equipment adheres to health and safety standards, is operational and organise repairs where required Organise the storing of equipment and checking of stock Creative and administrative tasks Support with events and first aid Be a part of the teaching and learning team, supporting student progress and attainment

The Design & Technology Technician must:



Have transferrable skills Have the ability to work independently Be capable of making decisions Be self-motivated Be pro-active and highly organised Have good communication skills Enjoy a varied and reactive role Enjoy working with children Ability to follow and implement health and safety regulations (training provided)

Advantages but not essential:



Previous experience in other relevant roles
