Job Description

Acorns Children's Hospice Trust are looking for a Designate Store Manager to cover shops in the Northeast Birmingham area, until a permanent store is established. You'll lead a team of volunteers, achieve set targets and maximise sales opportunities, working 37.5 hours per week, including some weekend working.

About the Role

Acorns Children's Hospice are a children's charity, offering specialist palliative nursing care and support for local children and their families. We have a network of charity shops across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire, which help to provide the funding that we need to provide this care.

As Community Shop Manager Designate, you will:

Temporarily run shops within the Birmingham area, when Shop Managers are away Make decisions about stock, setting levels of pricing and leading a team of volunteers Encourage donation and customer purchases Manage processes for the effective collection, delivery and processing of goods

About You

Retail experience and experience of working towards targets Experience of leading and motivating a team IT skills Happy to work weekends Enjoy a role that involves significant levels of manual handling Ability to travel independently to cover shops in the area
