About Us:

XL Group are seeking a talented Design Engineer or Draughtsman to join our group engineering team in our Forfar facility. If you're passionate about design, implementing and executing engineering projects, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Use SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create, modify, and enhance designs and mechanical drawings, adhering to XL's established processes. Develop and update designs, fabrication drawings, product packages, and comprehensive product documentation as well as schedule and test plans. Work in conjunction with suppliers and subcontractors to specify, manage and execute product and service delivery, ensuring the highest quality standards. Liaise effectively with production team to streamline the manufacturing process for optimum efficiency. Take ownership of designing and managing drawings for multiple projects concurrently. Maintain strict adherence to XL's company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

A college or university degree in engineering design and manufacture or relevant industry experience. Experience with project execution and delivery. Proficiency in drafting skills, with a keen eye for detail. Knowledge or prior experience in manufacturing processes and materials is highly desired. Excellent command of Microsoft Word and Excel for effective documentation and reporting. Strong organisational skills, self-motivated, and an good communicator. Thrives in a collaborative team environment and is a quick learner with exceptional multitasking abilities.
