The
Deskside Services Administrator
performs both first- and second-tier support for the organization's internal end users, supporting Windows OS, mobile devices, and general corporate-provided technology solutions. Hands-on and remote support responsibilities include computer applications and platforms for our growing domestic and international teams.
Responsibilities
Resolve user issues via ticketing support queues
Manage the process of imaging, deploying, and supporting new desktop and laptop systems
Document work processes
Provide hardware/OS/application installation, maintenance and support
Assist with equipment moves for users and sites
Support for mobile devices
Account management activities in Azure/AD
Participate in assessment of new technologies and their integration into a production/support environment
Perform additional tasks, as assigned by Deskside Services leadership, as well as working with other departments as needed
Requirements
Ability to assess a problem and to coordinate and execute solutions
Strong organizational, project, and time management skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to pick up new technologies quickly and help develop standardized procedures
Demonstrate resourcefulness and ability to overcome obstacles
Ability to work flexible hours as required, including nights and/or weekends
A+ Certification or 1-2 years extensive PC hardware experience
2-4 years of Desktop Support (OS/Application), preferably in a mid- to large-sized environment
Strong experience providing user support for current MS Office Applications/Solutions
Solid understanding of IP networking, WiFi, and general office network infrastructure
Experience with a 24x7x365 environment a plus
Must be authorised to work & current resident in the United Kingdom.
