Job Description

Job Purpose

To ensure the efficient, safe, and accurate preparation, packing, and despatch of finished sofa products and components. The role includes cushion filling, foot packing, general packing, and loading operations to ensure all products are prepared to the highest standard and despatched on time to customers.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out cushion filling to required standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assemble and pack sofa feet, ensuring correct components are included and labelled accurately. Pack finished sofas and components, ensuring products are securely protected and meet quality standards prior to despatch. Check products for any defects or damage before packing and report issues to the Team Leader. Ensure all items are correctly labelled and ready for despatch according to delivery schedules. Load and unload vehicles safely, following manual handling procedures. Verify all products against delivery notes or manifests to ensure order accuracy. Maintain a clear and organised despatch area to facilitate efficient operations. Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures. Use PPE and handling equipment correctly at all times. Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment, including packing and despatch areas. Report any hazards, incidents, or equipment faults immediately. Work collaboratively with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure daily targets are met. Support colleagues in cushion filling, foot packing, and despatch areas as needed to maintain workflow.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Previous experience in a warehouse, packing, or despatch role. Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high quality standards. Capable of manual handling tasks safely. Reliable and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Good communication and teamwork skills.

39 Hours Per Week

Monday to Thursday 06:45am - 15:45pm, Friday 06:45am - 11:45am

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
