Job Title: Despatch Operator

Reports to: Operations Manager

Location: Tonypandy, CF40 1JS

Job Type: Full Time 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm)

Salary:

12.21 per hour

Scope of the Role

The Despatch Operator will be responsible for ensuring the accurate, efficient, and timely preparation, packing, and despatch of goods to customers worldwide. This role is critical to maintaining MFC International's reputation for reliability and quality. You will also be responsible to the unloading of all incoming goods.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare and pack customer orders in line with company standards and product requirements. Ensure all goods are correctly labelled, documented, and compliant with shipping regulations. Liaise with couriers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to arrange timely collections and deliveries. Maintain accurate records of despatched goods using stock management systems and Microsoft office programmes Conduct quality checks to ensure products are despatched in perfect condition. Assist in stock control, including cycle counts and inventory accuracy. Support stores personnel when required. Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics and warehouse function.

Skills & Competencies

Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organisational and time-management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external partners. Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, ERP/WMS systems). Knowledge of shipping regulations and export documentation (desirable).

Qualification & Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or despatch role. Forklift licence (advantageous). Experience working with international shipments and couriers (preferred).

Working Conditions

Full-time role, based at MFC International's Tonypandy site (CF40 1JS) Standard working hours 8:30-17:00, Monday-Friday working pattern (occasional overtime may be required) Warehouse environment with lifting, standing, and manual handling involved
