Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings. Train new staff on cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and safety protocols. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained in good working condition.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes. Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.
