We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dessert Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will need to have a strong background in food preparation, customer service skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that each dessert is not only delicious but also visually appealing.

As a Dessert Maker, you will play a vital role in creating an array of sweet treats that delight our customers and enhance their dining experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and create a variety of desserts, including crepes, waffles, sundaes, following established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the dessert-making process. Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and menu items to keep offerings fresh and exciting. Collaborate with delivery staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of desserts during service hours. Upsell dessert items to customers, enhancing their dining experience while contributing to overall sales. Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring all items are fresh and properly stored. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Demonstrate effective time management skills to ensure all desserts are prepared efficiently within service timelines.

Skills

Strong culinary skills with a focus on dessert preparation. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment. Experience in upselling techniques within a restaurant or food service setting is advantageous. Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods. Basic maths skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory levels. A collaborative team player who can work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Creativity and attention to detail in both taste and presentation of desserts.
