We are seeking a talented and passionate Dessert Maker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of delicious desserts that delight our customers. Duties
Prepare a wide range of desserts, including cakes, pastries, mousses, and other sweet dishes, following established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to during preparation and service.
Assist in organising ingredients and supplies to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dessert station at all times.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of desserts during service hours.
Upsell dessert options to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities.
Monitor stock levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
Contribute to menu development by suggesting new dessert ideas based on current trends and seasonal ingredients.
Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation, ideally within a restaurant or catering environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
Previous experience in serving or working directly with customers is desirable.
Basic maths skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing portion sizes.
Kitchen or culinary experience is preferred, with a focus on pastry or dessert making.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
