Job Description
Premier News Food & Wine are looking to hire knowledgeable, experienced members of staff for their dessert bar. We currently serve hot and cold food, and have an ice cream counter, but are looking to additionally add in a dessert bar in that area.
The preferred candidates for this role are individuals with prior experience in dessert establishments.
Job description/ essential skills:
The ideal candidate will be familiar with all aspects of food hygiene and preparation.
Will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment at all times to ensure the premises are up to Health and Safety Standards.
Experience with food preparation - sandwiches, soups, paninis etc.
The ideal candidate will be able to help and assist in creating a delicious food offering for our customers!
Please be aware, that personal hygiene is a necessity and of the upmost importance for this role.
Suitable candidates must have prior experience in making desserts, such as crepes, waffles, sundaes and milkshakes. The candidate should also know what is involved in each process of making these such items. .
Other basic duties will include the management and preparation of in store & delivery orders, serving customers, stock replenishment/ordering. Applicants must have a high standard of food preparation and hygiene practices, and be able to keep work stations clean and follow hygiene procedures. Applicants must also be approachable and able to build a rapport with customers, and have a high standard of presentation.
