Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Essex Waste Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of diesel-powered vehicles and plant equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
Assemble, fabricate, and weld components as needed for repairs.
Complete PMI's
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Conduct heavy lifting as required during maintenance tasks.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems.
Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Good physical condition with the ability to perform heavy lifting tasks.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
