We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Digital & Administration Assistant to support our team in various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, excellent phone etiquette, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations and effective communication within the organisation.

This is an office-based role from our head office in Castle Combe, just outside Chippenham, Wiltshire. Due to the rural location, the successful candidate will need access to their own transport.
Duties:
Taking a lead role in dealing with the day-to-day operations of the Digital and Administration service and, in partnership with our IT support company, facilitate requests for support as efficiently as possible.
Supporting the Head of Department to promote digital improvement across the organisation, particularly equipping all employees with the skills and systems to use our systems effectively.
Delivering tools, frameworks and processes to support to the Group to continuously improve and increase digital maturity.
Contributing to administration functions to ensure we a seamless service to all of our internal and external stakeholders.
Be the first responder to day-to-day requests from the business on all things relating to digital hardware and software that fall outside of the remit of our IT support company.
Setting up of company laptops and mobile phones for employees
Setting up of 4G routers and Starlink systems
Building of SharePoint sites and ongoing SharePoint administration support
Supporting the Head of Department with new starter inductions.
Digital archiving and date storage solutions in general
Trouble shooting problems that come up across the business (e.g. printer issues)
Support to ensure we have robust cybersecurity measures and compliance with data protection regulations.
Support with the tracking and reporting of system performance, risks, and the success of digital initiatives against business targets.
Build strong relationships with divisions and departments to ensure our digital and administration services is aligned to business objectives.
To assist with general administration tasks as required (including printing, filing, scanning, incoming calls cover)
Qualifications/Experience
Essential
Experience of dealing with the management of standard hardware and software infrastructure e.g.
- Laptops (set up and troubleshooting)
- iPhones and smart phones
- Microsoft Office 365 suite
Experience in providing digital/technology services and/or, administration functions
Experience in a customer facing role (client facing or internal customers) dealing with requests and enquiries.
Previous office experience is essential, with a focus on administrative roles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Demonstrated clerical experience with a focus on maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
Desirable
Knowledge of current and emerging digital technologies
Some experience of working with third party suppliers and vendors e.g. external support providers.
Experience of supporting business change and improvement projects and initiatives.
An IT, Digital or Administration qualification
