As a Digital Adoption Officer, you'll join our Service Design and Digital Adoption (SDDA) team within Transformation Services. This is a career-graded role, offering development opportunities and progression based on experience and performance. To be considered for the higher grade (H), you'll need to show that you can work confidently on your own, lead on key pieces of work, and have a track record of delivering high-quality results with minimal supervision.



You'll support the design, development, and implementation of services and digital products that improve the way we work and deliver for our residents. From user research and service design to testing and rollout, you'll play a key role in ensuring our digital tools are accessible, efficient, and user-centred.



You'll work within a multi-disciplinary team that's transforming how the council manages its digital products. Together, we're making services better for everyone.



Transformation Services is an innovative, fast paced and large team providing digital and data services as well as delivering change management and innovation initiatives. We enable the organisation and its partners to achieve their outcomes and continually improve and evolve the services we deliver to the people of North Yorkshire and beyond.

We're looking for someone who has a passion for digital and technology and a genuine customer centric ethos to put the customer at the heart of everything we do. You may currently be working in a digital support or service improvement role, or have experience in user research, system configuration, or digital product delivery. Perhaps you've supported IT change projects, worked in a customer-focused digital environment, or contributed to improving user experiences through technology.






The successful candidate will:





be educated to Level 3 standard (for example A-Level, HND/C) or equivalent have a solid understanding of user-centred design, service design, and their practical application within UX or product development be capable of producing design outputs such as wireframes, prototypes, customer journey maps, and process flows be able to collect and analyse user data to inform improvements show awareness of quality assurance practices, including testing and validation of digital solutions possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to write clear, concise reports and documentation for different audiences have a keen eye for detail and a structured, methodical approach to work work independently and manage time effectively, taking ownership of tasks and meeting deadlines show a willingness to learn and grow in a digital transformation setting
