We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Digital and Compliance Officer to support the smooth running of our digital systems and ensure the practice meets all compliance requirements. This role combines hands-on IT system management with responsibility for key governance areas such as CQC, policies, information governance, and risk management. The ideal candidate will be confident working with a wide range of clinical and administrative systems, managing digital projects, and maintaining accurate, compliant processes across the practice.
We would like this role to start as soon as reasonably possible.
This role will be employed via the Primary Care Network (MDC PCN) and will provide support for the individual practices that form the network. This role will be based 3 days at the Chislehurst Partnership and 2 days at the Links Medical Practice. The working location does not limit which practice work may be undertaken; it only indicates where the role is based on a given day.
Exact hours/working locations will be discussed with the successful candidate.

Our Primary Care Network
MDC PCN is a forward thinking group of 2 Bromley Practices which has been formed to benefit patients by offering improved access and extending the range of services available to them, and by helping to integrate primary care with wider health and community services. This PCN consists of The Chislehurst Partnership and The Links Medical Practice (Mottingham and Downham) covering over 37,000 patients.
Key Responsibilities
Digital & IT Responsibilities
Responsible for first line support for hardware and software issues experienced by staff on site and remote users.
Manage and update the practice website, including news pages, service information, and seasonal opening hours (Christmas, Easter, Bank Holidays, AHD, and prescription request dates).
Manage smartcards and access permissions.
Manage IT requirements within the staff induction process.
Support and maintain digital clinical systems, including (and any future systems):
ICE, tQuest, Surgery Connect, Docman and EMIS.
Lead IT project management, including implementation of new systems or digital tools.
Manage Engage, Envisage, and digital display systems.
Coordinate IT changes with IT department for both practice sites.
Upload documents, letters, and referral forms to the Resource Publisher.
Maintain Resource Publisher content (activating/deactivating templates, editing templates and searches, and creating protocols such as F12).
Manage and monitor NHS App functionality and patient-facing services.
Oversee Accurx/SMS credit usage in line with SELICB requirements.
Maintain Ardens Manager systems.
Support in maintaining laptop asset register per practice.
Support the ongoing implementation and development of digital services across the practice.
Compliance Responsibilities
Maintain and update practice policies and protocols.
Oversee mandatory compliance for CQC i.e clinical and non-clinical audit completion. Significant event records, completing CQC tracker via Teamnet
Oversee risk-management projects and ensure timely completion.
Support Information Governance (IG), including: Assisting with the DSPT submission, Producing Duty of Candour letters, Reviewing relevant IG policies, Completing IG-related audits, Managing Data Sharing Agreements for IT systems.
Experience
Essential
Understanding of protocols and policies
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Proficient in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, with a high level of general IT competence.
Excellent written and verbal skills
Sound knowledge of GDPR
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality, data protection, and professional standards
Highly organised
Desirable
Experience of working in general practice or NHS organisation
Proficiency in using clinical IT systems such as EMIS, DOCMAN, or similar healthcare systems.
CQC awareness or previous experience
Strong knowledge of general practice/NHS guidelines and protocols
