About The Organisation:



Big Sis CIC is a growing Saltash-based social enterprise(non-for profit) focused on empowering young people, particularly girls, through puberty and pre-puberty. Since our founding in 2020, we've reached over 600 young people through workshops, resources and mentoring.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Digital Content & Communications Lead to join our small, creative team. This role is crucial in shaping our digital presence and ensuring our message resonates with our target audiences.

Role Overview:



You will lead on launching an exciting new product and manage all aspects of the social media and digital communications strategy to enhance outreach and effectively engage our client base. We would like to work with a creative, caring and strategic thinker who can manage multiple tasks and ensure our communications are impactful and inclusive.

Key Responsibilities:



Develop and execute digital strategy:



Implement a comprehensive digital communications strategy aligned with project values and goals. Identify and prioritize key channels to effectively engage all demographics within our client base.

Market Research & Analysis:



Conduct thorough market research to understand the needs and preferences of our client base. Analyze existing communication materials to identify strengths, gaps, and areas for improvement, using insights to develop targeted strategies.

Content Creation:



Develop impactful visual communication materials (graphics, Reels, infographics). Conduct journalistic tasks such as beneficiary interviews Write copy for social media platforms, blog, and newsletters.

Copyediting and tone management:



Review and edit copy for marketing materials to ensure consistency in tone and alignment with our brand voice. Ensure all communications are inclusive, culturally sensitive, and accessible to our audience.

Collaboration & Reporting:



Work closely with the Line Manager and team members to align communication strategies with organizational objectives. Regularly report on strategy effectiveness, using metrics and feedback to refine approaches.

Applicant Profile:



Essential skills and attributes:



Experience in digital marketing, content creation, or communications (preferably within the non-profit sector.) Market research experience with the ability to apply insights to strategy development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and tone. Familiarity with Canva Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital marketing trends, and tools. Strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Openness to learning new skills and engage with new content areas Creative thinker with a passion for social impact and inclusion Strong interest in supporting young people's mental health and wellbeing

Additional skills and attributes



(These are not required, but would bring added value to the role):

A degree in Marketing, Design or a related field or previous employment in marketing or related field Familiarity with Squarespace and Mailchimp. Video editing skills (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) Experience with Google Ads Experience or understanding of the needs and challenges faced by marginalized communities. Interest in intersectional feminism, social justice issues and mental health An understanding of parenting experiences

The candidate is required to work Tuesdays or Wednesdays at Saltash Studios
