Finlayson Media Communications Ltd (FMC) is an award winning, dental communications company that connects the dental community and industry through a myriad of powerful channels encompassing online, print, webinars, social media, exhibitions, and awards.

The role:



We're looking for a Digital Content Lead to own FMC's digital editorial strategy across Dentistry.co.uk (the market leader in the UK dental sector) and all digital channels. This is a hands-on editorial leadership role for someone who understands modern content ecosystems, emerging AI workflows, SEO, social distribution and creative multi-format production. You will write, edit, commission and publish authoritative B2B dentistry content while driving reach, relevance, reputation and revenues across web, social, email and emerging digital formats.

Responsibilities:



Lead editorial planning and multi-platform strategy across web, social, newsletters and emerging channels. Write and edit high-quality digital journalism, ensuring clarity, authority and accuracy. Manage and develop a 3-4 person content team and contributor network to deliver cohesive multi-channel output. Oversee content quality, tone, accuracy, and brand alignment. Use analytics (GA4, Search Console, CRM, social insights) to guide decisions and grow audiences. Implement modern SEO and intent-led content design. Commission and produce multi-format content (short-form video, social-first assets, explainers, interviews). Build structured AI/LLM workflows while protecting editorial integrity. Partner closely with commercial and marketing teams to support revenue (sponsored content, product launches, client campaigns) while maintaining editorial independence. Collaborate with the broader FMC team (events, compliance, commercial, product) to share audience insight. Work with social, video, design and events teams to deliver cohesive multi-channel output. Maintain consistent digital operations including content calendars, posting rhythms and process playbooks.

What we need from you:



Strong B2B editorial leadership experience (essential). Evidence of managing content across web, SEO and multiple social platforms. Experience of commissioning and editing in authoritative B2B sectors. Strong data/analytics literacy. Healthcare or dental desirable; B2B content essential. Proven ability to grow audience reach and engagement. Comfortable leading a team through organisational change and capability uplift.
