The job: Digital Editor for a leading membership organisation

Direct experience in digital editorial work for b2b clients is essential for this role

The primary responsibility of the Digital Editor is to create and manage the delivery of a varied content programme, working with the in-house team, freelance journalists, and your clients\' teams to bring technical content, advice, and campaigns through inspiring content.

This role is focused on digital content and requires significant digital editing experience, auditing existing web copy and the project management of a series of e-newsletters. A good knowledge of SEO is essential as is the ability to devise multi-channel content strategies for our clients and deliver them.

You will also need excellent experience in understanding and interpreting data, whether that\'s newsletter open rates or bounce rates on the website, you\'ll be looking at what is working and what isn\'t, and using this to inform future content plans.

If you\'re familiar with Marketo and MailChimp, then great! If not, you will receive training and guidance.

You will be working with a new digital-first, data-driven content programme for a new agency client which will require lots of ideas to ensure you bring the client\'s objectives to life and keep their audience wanting more. The new content programme will include everything from content for a new hub on the client website and e-newsletters to international events programmes, webinars, state-of-the-nation reports and more.

Use your journalism, editorial and curating skills to source and write relevant and engaging content and your organisation skills to manage the content programme and ensure content deadlines are met by. While you\'ll commission journalists, you will also save some ideas for yourself, and use your own skills to tell stories.

To be successful in this role you will need to know the client, so being comfortable asking questions and using the information to improve content is a key element of the position. You will also become an expert on the sector the client engages with.

Whilst we recognise you will need to be super organised as a Digital Editor, you also need to be creative and not afraid to try something new and be entrepreneurial to ensure you continually deliver brilliant content for the client.

TEAM is key to this company. Your colleagues work hard to create and enjoy a collaborative, positive team environment. They are a proactive bunch, but there will be problems that crop up and people are encouraged to work together with honesty and transparency to figure them out. Having a flexible, willing, proactive with a solutions-led \'can-do approach\' is encouraged. No idea is a bad idea here! A good sense of humour is essential, work needs to be fun too!

You will work with this company\'s in-house team, take the lead on briefing freelance journalists to create content, and the client team to bring technical content, expert advice, campaigns, and the community to life through inspiring content.
