About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Digital Editor to lead and grow our digital presence for our Business Traveller title.





Business Traveller is the leading publication for the global executive on the move. A discerning ABC1 audience, we deliver authoritative travel news, in-depth destination guides, reviews, and essential insights into the evolving world of aviation and business travel.



The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to shape our online editorial strategy, optimising content for SEO, and ensuring our digital output reflects the authority, quality, and style our readers expect.



The Role:



Lead the day-to-day editorial planning and production of content for the website Commission, edit, and publish news, features, reviews, and guides in line with brand tone Oversee the newsletter strategy and schedule, ensuring timely, relevant, and high-performing editions Optimise all content for SEO, collaborating with audience development and marketing teams Monitor digital analytics to refine strategy, improve engagement, and drive traffic Collaborate closely with the print editorial team to align cross-platform storytelling Develop digital-first franchises and special series to grow audience and time on site Maintain the highest standards of editorial accuracy, clarity, and brand voice Stay abreast of travel and business trends to inform content planning

Commercial Responsibilities:

Working with the sales team (fulfilment of advertorials, competitions and newsletter sponsorships, reporting on Google Analytics statistics) Liaising with regional digital editorial teams in Asia-Pacific, Middle East and India (assisting with queries, helping to avoid content duplication, acting as go-between between the UK-based web host and the regions) Acting as day-to-day point of contact with website developers (reporting website issues, testing WordPress updates, working on new website features, etc) Working with the social media team (timely promotion of news pieces, fulfilment of media partner agreements e.g.: The Business Travel Show)

Required skills:

Proven experience as a digital editor, ideally within travel, business, or lifestyle media Exceptional editing, commissioning, and writing skills Strong understanding of SEO best practices and CMS platforms Track record of growing and engaging digital audiences Familiarity with analytics tools Ability to juggle short deadlines with longer-form digital storytelling A genuine interest in travel, aviation, business culture, and premium travel experiences

Desirable:

Knowledge of affiliate or e-commerce content strategies Experience working with newsletters Exposure to social media strategy and/or multimedia content (video/podcasts)
