Job Description

Join Police Digital Service as a Digital Learning Designer - FTC 12 months



Starting at 55,000 per annum




As a Digital Learning Designer, you will lead the design and development of engaging, modern digital experiences across the newly created Police Cyber Services Training Framework (PCSTF). Using tools like Articulate 360, as well as SCORM technical standards, you will create impactful, learner-centred digital content that supports the initial and professional development of the Information Security.

Key Responsibilities:



Design digital-first, accessible learning content using Articulate 360 (Rise and Storyline) and Vyond. Lead the design of digital learning products within the Police Cyber Services Training Framework, ensuring alignment to the National Cyber Strategy and Information Security role development. Translate complex operational and policy information into clear, interactive, and engaging learning experiences. Maintain and update existing digital assets to reflect current practice, legislation, and user feedback. Design and write digital assessments, including multiple-choice and formative assessment tools in line with College of Policing standards. Provide advice and quality assurance on accessibility, structure, and format in both internally developed and externally procured learning materials. Keep up to date with developments in digital learning design, accessibility, and learner engagement trends.

What you need to succeed in the role:



Strong writing, editing, and instructional design skills. Visual and motion design for digital content (e.g., using Vyond, Canva, Adobe Suite). Ideally understand the Information Security skills and capabilities for senior roles. Problem-solving and solution-focused approach to learning challenges. Collaborative team player able to engage with a range of stakeholders. Quality assurance and user testing of digital content. Ability to work across multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.

Working Arrangements




This is a remote role.

All applicants must be eligible to undergo NPPV3 (Non Police Personnel Vetting Level 3 )and SC vetting clearances. Successful applicants will require NPPV3 clearance to have been cleared before starting with PDS.
