Job Description


This exciting role within the UK International department will be responsible for running global digital marketing campaigns across an extensive range of artists and singles. Using a data-led approach, the role will determine opportunities and react accordingly with campaigns at the relevant level and location (e.g. test spends in focus markets, social engagement and creator campaigns etc), working closely with the UK labels\xe2\x80\x99 digital and media buying teams, as well as the central analytics team.

In addition, the role will manage a track-based roster, to plan and execute international campaigns, informed by data and analytics, and integrating social and content activations, influencer activity and advertising across key global platforms as well as market/region specific partners in focus markets.

The UK International department works across all domestically signed repertoire from any of Sony Music\xe2\x80\x99s UK labels. This year\xe2\x80\x99s recipient of the Music Week \xe2\x80\x98International Marketing Team of the Year\xe2\x80\x99 award, its key responsibilities include marketing and promotion on a global level in addition to being the first point of contact for labels around the world when working with Sony Music\xe2\x80\x99s UK artists.

What you\'ll do:

  • Manage dashboards to monitor an extensive list of track releases to measure streaming/social activity and react accordingly with campaigns to capitalise on the momentum (spikes in track streams on DSPs, UGC, social engagement etc.). Also work with the analytics team to deliver ad-hoc reports on focus campaigns.
  • Develop and implement digital marketing (advertising, influencer and creator marketing, CRM), content campaigns (localising assets, creative briefs for global audiences) & social strategy (supporting touring and promotional trips when artists are abroad, country-specific activations) for a roster of mainly track releases.
  • Work closely with UK labels (marketing/digital), Digital Partnerships (sales), Central Data & Analytics, 4th Floor Creative, Digital Media and local markets to ensure global optimization of marketing campaigns & streaming strategy, via creative & innovative digital initiatives and identifying local platform opportunities & social trends.
  • Work with our media buying teams to create holistic media plans across platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Meta, Snap etc.), adhering to approved campaign budgets.
  • Set campaign objectives/KPIs (audience growth, track streaming numbers etc, including identifying focus markets) and monitor and evaluate effectiveness of online spends.
  • Update artist management/UK labels on track performance as needed (via updates/meetings/calls)as well as the team in the weekly department meeting and regular reports.
Who you are:
  • Previous experience in a similar role e.g. Digital Marketing Manager within a major or indie label
  • Have expert knowledge of social media and social media trends; creative and motivated to deliver innovative digital opportunities
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills & ability to interpret and present data effectively
  • A detail-oriented, excellent communicator and enthusiastic collaborator that works well as part of a team
  • A proactive attitude, happy to seek out opportunities and take on exploratory projects
  • Passion for music absolutely required and a desire to build a career in the industry
