Based in Newton Aycliffe, Country Durham, Roman has been designing and manufacturing showering solutions for nearly 40 years and is home to the UK's largest shower manufacturing plant employing around 200 staff.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Digital Marketing Manager to lead and grow our online presence. The successful candidate will manage an in-house marketing team of four; oversee the performance and upkeep of all company websites; and drive continuous improvements in SEO, content strategy, CRM, digital advertising, and analytics.
This role is pivotal to aligning digital activity with commercial goals, ensuring consistent brand visibility, supporting B2B lead generation, and maintaining high standards in customer communications.
Key Duties
Lead and manage the internal marketing team and any external digital partners.
Oversee the daily operation, performance, and development of all company websites.
Own and execute the SEO strategy - on-page, off-page, and technical SEO - across multiple brands.
Plan, execute, and optimise digital campaigns aligned with business objectives.
Oversee the creation, proofing, and updating of brochures and customer product books to ensure brand accuracy and consistency.
Liaise directly with customers to provide product images, samples, and marketing materials, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of assets.
Manage CRM platforms to segment audiences, personalise campaigns, and support the sales pipeline.
Monitor analytics and performance across channels, providing regular insights and reporting to senior stakeholders.
Manage budgets for paid media and digital tools/software.
Maintain an organised and accessible digital asset library (images, brochures, product data, videos) for internal use and distribution to customers, sales teams, and partners.
Ensure digital assets and platforms comply with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, accessibility standards).
Keep ahead of industry trends and innovations to improve performance and efficiency.
Liaise closely with the PR, social media, and sales teams to align messaging, coordinate campaigns, and support commercial initiatives.
Experience and Person Specification
Proven experience in a similar digital marketing leadership role, ideally in a B2B environment.
Hands-on expertise in managing websites (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, or custom CMS platforms).
Strong understanding of SEO best practices and tools (e.g., Ahrefs, Google Search Console).
Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Wordpress / Open Cart).
Experience with email marketing tools (e.g., DotDigital).
Experience with paid digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager).
Familiarity with Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, and conversion tracking.
Competence in managing and mentoring a small team.
Ability to work cross-functionally with design, development, and sales departments.
Excellent project management, communication, and reporting skills.
Proficiency in managing digital asset libraries and delivering marketing resources efficiently.

08.45hrs to 16.45hrs, Monday to Thursday
08:45hrs to 14:45pm, Friday
