Description

Reporting to the Marketing Director, as a Digital Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the overall digital marketing strategy to enhance the online presence for Sumo Group and its 18 studios and ensure we create a desirable brand that people and partners want to work with and for.

You\'ll be managing all our digital channels from website to social channels, and lead a small social marketing team, coordinating with cross-functional teams and studios. You will play a pivotal role in planning and implementing our marketing initiatives to achieve the Sumo Group objectives.

A successful candidate will be an experienced digital marketer with a background in developing and executing campaigns across digital channels and ongoing website performance. Ideally, with a boarder knowledge of integrated marketing and the video games sector. Let alone someone who can multi-task efficiently, build relationships quickly, have excellent line manager skills and is a team player with creative flair.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy aligned with our studio objectives, target audience, and budget constraints. Continuously evaluate market trends, industry developments, and competitor strategies to adapt and refine the approach.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team including a Social Media Manager and 2x Social Co-ordinators. Be able to set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and facilitate professional development.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Plan, execute, and evaluate marketing campaigns across our digital channels.
  • Social Media Management: Manage and support the social media team to develop and implement a social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engagement, and recruitment lead generation.
  • Website Presence and Management: Oversee Sumo Group websites, ensuring they reflects our studio and operating businesses brand identity, is user-friendly, and optimised for search engines. Collaborate with stakeholders to generate content that is engaging and valuable content to attract, engage and convert our target audiences.
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Drive organic traffic growth by optimising website content, conducting keyword research, and implementing on-page and off-page SEO strategies.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Identify opportunities for improving website conversion rates and user experience. Implement A/B tests and other CRO techniques to enhance online performance.
  • Paid Advertising: Manage paid campaigns to optimise, plan and execute effective paid advertising campaigns across various platforms Monitor ad performance, optimise ROI and generate learnings.
  • Analytics and Reporting: ensure any data collection is GDPR compliant. Utilise data analytics tools to measure the performance of all digital marketing efforts. Generate regular reports, draw actionable insights, and present results to relevant stakeholders. Plus, look to draw insights from competitor research.
  • Collaborative Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with other teams, such as Creative Services, PR, Recruitment, Business Development, to align digital marketing efforts with broader business objectives and maintain consistent messaging.
What will you bring with you?
  • Proven experience as a Digital Marketing Manager or similar role, with a successful track record in managing and executing digital marketing campaigns.
  • Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of digital marketing techniques, including website, SEO, social media marketing and content marketing.
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Sprout) and experience in data analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Creativity and the ability to think strategically to develop innovative marketing campaigns.
  • Understanding of compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
  • Knowledge of the video games sector and/or working in a Digital Agency environment would be advantageous.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Digital Marketing or Marketing would be advantageous.
