Newport City Council is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our Customer Experience team, with a key focus on supporting and promoting the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence across the organisation.



Key Responsibilities

Lead and drive the adoption of AI and digital technologies across the organisation. Educate and support users in understanding and utilising current and emerging digital tools, increasing organisational capability. Champion the benefits of digital innovation, engaging leaders and staff to foster a culture of transformation. Plan, deliver, and oversee coaching and training on digital technologies for individuals and groups. Collaborate with Service Managers to develop and implement digital strategies, informed by research, assessments, and appraisals to ensure continuous improvement

We are looking for:

An individual with a strong understanding of digital technologies, including AI, and their role in improving efficiency and customer-focused services. Proven experience in areas such as digital technology or project management, coupled with a proactive and enthusiastic approach to driving results. The ability to engage stakeholders and support adoption of new digital ways of working.
