Job Description

On behalf of FCDO, we are looking for a Digital Technical Architect (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract based Remote (Occasional travel to London office).



Join the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) as a Digital Technical Architect, shaping technical design for complex telecommunications and voice solutions in a large enterprise environment. You'll work on a discovery piece to map the technology estate, create documentation and build a reusable architecture library.



As a Digital Technical Architect your main responsibilities will be to:

Undertake structured analysis of technical issues and translate into solution designs. Be consulted on design and provide reusable design patterns. Identify deeper technical issues that need fixing. Look for opportunities to collaborate and reuse components, communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Essential:

Proven experience as a Technical Architect. Experience in telecommunications and voice solutions preferred. Strong Microsoft Azure architecture skills (AWS exposure desirable). Experience with mapping, documentation, and creating architecture repositories. Familiarity with TOGAF principles (certification desirable).

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
