Mill Garth Hospital is looking to recruit a director of clinical services to join the team at our 19 bed rehabilitation and recovery high dependency service for adults. This is a full time 37.5 hours role.



Based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, Priory Hospital Mill Garth is a level 2 rehabilitation service for adult males. We support people with a range of mental health disorders.

What you'll be doing





You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a director of clinical services, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patientsThe DoCS play a key part in developing and delivering the hospital Quality strategy, providing operational and clinical leadership to the team. Ensures delivery of the highest level of clinical and therapeutic care together with ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and current legislation, meeting quality standards and delivering against quality performance indicators. Provides leadership, organisation and co-ordination to ensure effective clinical governance. Facilitating and supporting the implementation and maintenance of the overall site Governance. Working with wards, departments to facilitate the delivery of the Governance agenda and embed learning, evidence based practice and improvement in patient care. Providing professional advice on quality governance issues to all staff at site, promoting high standards of care and development of clinical practice. Ensuring that all auditing and governance requirements are met at site including participation and compliance with the Priory Audit Calendar.

The role requires registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council or the Health and Care Professions Council, along with a recognized post-registration qualification and full membership or accreditation from a relevant professional institution. Evidence of continuous professional development is essential. A detailed understanding of statutory regulations is required, as is a passion for providing high-quality care and driving continuous improvement. Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills are essential, alongside a forward-thinking, proactive, and creative approach. Experience working within a related environment is also necessary.
