If you believe everyone deserves a safe, warm home, and you know how to lead teams to make that happen, then we want to hear from you.
Are you the kind of leader who rolls up your sleeves, inspires your teams, and gets stuck into making things better? Can you balance budgets, build brilliant services, and make sure homes are warm, safe, and well cared for? If so, this could be your next big step.
At PA Housing, we're not just about keeping the lights on and the water running (although that's pretty important too!). We're about creating homes people love to live in and services they can rely on. That's where you come in.
This is a fixed term contract, running until February 2026.
What's in it for you.
In addition to the salary, we offer a number of benefits, including:
High street discount schemes
Health cash plans
26 days' annual leave, increasing to 29 after three years, with the opportunity to buy more
Flexible bank holidays take them when it suits you
Car leasing scheme
Hybrid working offering you the flexibility to thrive in your role. You'll have the opportunity to blend the best of both worlds, spending approximately two to three days per week in the office once settled in the role. This is flexible and depends on meeting cycles and board activity. We also offer an optional nine-day fortnight scheme, allowing you to compress your hours if it suits the role.
What you'll be doing
This isn't your typical property services role. You'll be leading a brilliant team of around 100 people, making sure our homes are well maintained, repairs are done right first time, and our heating, hot water and voids services run smoothly. Here's a taste of what you'll be working on:
Leading the responsive repairs, disrepair, and damp and mould and major works services (both our in-house teams and external contractors)
Managing a 20m budget and making sure we deliver great services and value for money
Being a visible leader inspiring teams to do their best work and continuously improve
Building strong relationships with key partners across PA Housing and beyond
Ensuring we stay on top of compliance, safety, and legal responsibilities keeping homes safe and sound
Turning customer feedback into action shaping better services and raising standards
Working closely with the Exec Team and Board to drive our strategic plans forward
Making the most of tech and new ideas to create smarter, more efficient services
Driving down complaints by reviewing root cause of service failures.
Working collaboratively with other departments to improve our repairs service.
Increase customer satisfaction by implementing improvements to the repairs service.
What we're looking for:
We're looking for someone who's been there and done it but who's still excited about what's next. You'll probably tick a few of these boxes:
Experience leading property services, repairs, or maintenance teams (ideally in housing, construction, or facilities)
A degree in construction, housing, or business management or experience in the field
Comfortable managing large teams and multi-million-pound budgets
A great relationship-builder who can work across teams and with external partners
Strong technical knowledge around repairs, maintenance, health & safety, and compliance
Strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves and solve day-to-day problems
Proven track record of improving services, driving performance, and delivering change
A management or coaching qualification would be great and you'll need a full driving licence to get around to our sites and schemes
Experience of contract management
Resident engagement
Complaint handling and resolution
Most of all, we're looking for someone passionate about making a difference. Someone who wants to lead with purpose, challenge the norm, and help us be the best we can be.
If specific qualifications are required, please upload them with your application to demonstrate your eligibility.
At PA Housing, we believe in respect, integrity, and accountability. Our work is about people not just properties and we're always looking for ways to do better. If that sounds like your kind of place, we'd love to hear from you.
